Yemen: Video shows dead body resembling former Pres. Ali Abdullah Saleh *GRAPHIC*

Unverified video footage from Khawlan, just outside Sanaa on Monday, appears to show a dead body resembling former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The footage was released shortly after the Ansarallah rebel group, known as the Houthis, claimed that Saleh had been killed while attempting to flee to Maarib from the capital Sanaa.

Since Sunday, at least 125 people were killed in battles between Houthi fighters from Ansarallah and forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The two groups have fought together against the Saudi-led coalition, which intervened in Yemen in March 2015 in a bid to reinstate the government of ousted President Abd-Rabbuh Mansour Hadi. In October, the Saudi-led coalition imposed a blockade on Yemen, following an intercepted missile attack on Riyadh, for which the Houthis claimed responsibility.
