Lebanon: Marathon runners race for PM Hariri's return to Beirut

Participants in an annual Beirut marathon ran in solidarity with former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, in the Lebanese capital on Sunday, a day after President Michel Aoun called for the marathon to become a solidarity protest.

The presidential call was well received by Beirut Marathon Association (BMA) which immediately declared the race "a patriotic protest of sports in solidarity with our Prime Minister Hariri and his return to his country."
